Remember Being with you at disney that day. Serial day to say the least. Sad day indeed, but we have all grown from that day. Hopefully for the better.. Onward and upward

I am not one that compliments an average effort, but I do criticize when I see a wrong and wish to right it. It comes down to this, "Who Gives a $%*#?" I GIVE A $%*#!!!!! Criticism is necessary to grow. If we always have to worry about feelings, we will be eaten by a predator (or work for the government). Sorry, no political correctness here...

I have had the fortune to meet some truly great men and some who would have me believe that they were indeed truly great men. Once you get over the awe of the name or the title, it isn't that hard to discern the difference. Remember that great saying - " God gave us two ears and one mouth with good intent". You learn far more by listening than you ever do by talking. Truly great men are never afraid to listen.

Reminds me a of great quote from Darren Clark after he won the Bristish open this year. He was talking about his ups and downs over the years and he said when he really improved was when he stopped letting his golf game define his attitude and instead let his attitude define his golf game. I think this can be applied in business as well.

Hey Chris: I'm talking about managers (not leaders) who believe they can lead from afar. Who've lost sight of the fact that their organization needs them to be there full time. Indeed we can manage many things from home but leading is about focus, not time. And you can't focus when you're not there.
