Doing The Work
“Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.” Winston Churchill
We spend countless hours thinking about our strategy and spend just as many going for it. Then, when things get tough we turn on a freaking dime…ready to change direction thinking that we made a mistake.
The first time you walk into a gym and lift a 100 lb. dumbbell it’s difficult. But if you walk in there and lift it daily it doesn’t become lighter – you become stronger.
Perhaps the tough time you’re having right now is just a test to see if you’ll come back and lift that dumbbell again and again and again and again. That is how you win…that is how you dominate.
You don’t get to where you truly want to be without a few tests along the way and you damn sure can’t dominate by choosing to lift lighter weights. You get there by facing the challenge and showing up day after day after day.
And smile when you do, because you’re winning.
